Our RE lessons have our children and local community at the heart of them. They offer a broad, balanced and rich RE curriculum coverage which ensures the children have a variety of ways to explore religions, their community and personal development and wellbeing. We aim to provide lessons that are high quality and progressive, with key vocabulary and language development integrated throughout. In each unit, children will know about and understand a range of religions and worldviews. They will be able to identify, investigate and respond to a variety of matters. Spiritual, Moral, Social, and Cultural development (SMSC), personal growth and community cohesion are featured throughout and help ensure opportunities for children to develop positive attitudes and values and to reflection and relate their learning in RE to their own experiences. The intent is to make sure that children understand the relevance of RE for themselves, their families, local community and wider communities.
