We follow the National Curriculum for English.
We use a range of rich texts and guidance from the Literary Curriculum to teach and build on the skills needed for the children to become able writers.
We use Little Wandle Letters and Sounds revised as our Phonics programme. This has a very clear and robust trajectory which we use from Nursery right through to the end of Year 2. We use decodable ‘Big Cat’ books by Collins, to complement this and follow the reading Little Wandle Reading Practice scheme.
